They’re quiet today.
The voices in my head
I’m struggling for nonchalance
So they’re unsure how to react
They’re not all bad for me, you see
But I like the silence. I really do
When neither friend nor foe is speaking
And my mind can take a nap, with both eyes closed
But I’m losing the battle for nonchalance
And a stirring I can feel…’shit, who’s up?’
If I pet them will they be nice
Or should I yell and pray I’m the bigger bully
For now they’re alert and so am I
And so it starts…my mind and I
Against the tenants and the squatters we’re unable to evict

You are the bigger boss though, you don’t need to yell, lol. Love it
You write so beautifully
